Something smells really good in the Jungle Cafe.
Emma is baking cookies.Tom and Jack each want one.
They taste them.The cookies are warm and sweet.Now Tom wants another one !



(Tom and Jack come into the Jungle Cafe.)


Tom: Mmm,something smells really good.

Jack: Emma is making cookies!

Emma: Yes,I am.

Tom: Can we have some?They look delicious.

Emma: No,sorry.These are a special order.

Jack: Can we have just one?

Tom: Please?

Emma: NO.

Tom: Someone should taste them.They may not be good.

Jack: That's right.Something may be wrong with them.

Emma: What?

Tom: Well.maybe you didn't put sugar in them.
 
Emma: I never forget sugar!

Tom: Then maybe you didn't bake them long enough.

Emma: Tom,my cookies are fine.I'm sure.

Tom: But we can taste them for you.Then you can be very sure.

Emma: Thanks,but no thanks.

Jack: How many cookies do you need for your special order?

Emma: I need 40.

Tom: 39,40,41,42,43...You have 45 cookies.

Jack: Then Tom and I can each have one.Please?
 
Tom: Please?

Emma: All right.You can each have one.(They each take a cookie.)
      
Jack: Mmm.this cookie is delicious!It is still warm.It is so sweet.

Emma: What do you think,Tom?

Tom: Well...I'm not sure.I need another one.Then I can be sure.

Emma: NO!
